Do You Want To Be Able To Vote To Lower Your Taxes?

The incumbents don't want you to have that choice

Ms Matthews decided that she would write letters to the State asking them to not allow the voters to vote if they should get a homestead exemption for inflation. She stated that if the new homestead exemption passed  "we would have to consider raising the milage rate".

Just a couple months later Ms Matthews claims that she "...did not say that the city was going to raise the milage rate.."

Ms Peterman pipes in with  - "wouldn't we want the mayor to write letters to protest actions...?"

(which would be residents voting for a new homestead tax exemption to offset some of the cost of inflation).
